Prof. Dr. Babette Dellen
Scientific CV:
Prof. Dr. Babette Dellen, born in Cologne in 1975, obtained her diploma in physics from the University of Cologne in 2001. Afterwards she did her PhD in Physics at Washington University in St. Louis in 2006. She then gained further experience in the field of image processing/computer vision by working at the University of Göttingen and the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organisation in Göttingen as a postdoc and Bernstein Fellow, respectively. In 2010, she received a Ramon y Cajal Fellowship and worked at the Institut de Robotica i Informatica Industrial in Barcelona until 2014. In 2014, she received an appointment at Koblenz University of Applied Sciences and has since been Professor of Mathematics in the Life Sciences at the Department of Mathematics and Technology.
Research Focus:
computer vision, image and video segmentation, 3D reconstruction, neural models and machine learning.
