Gabriela Viale Pereira is Assistant Professor of Information Systems at the Department of E-Governance and Administration, Danube University Krems (Austria) and Research Fellow at the Center for Technology in Government, University at Albany (USA). She is a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Center for Research on Public Administration and Government, Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV), Brazil (2019) and holds a PhD in Administration from the School of Business, Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil (2016). She was project coordinator of the Erasmus+ project "Strengthening Governance Capacity for Smart Sustainable Cities" (CAP4CITY). Her research focuses on digital governance and ICT-related governance. Gabriela is author and co-author of more than 40 peer-reviewed publications on information systems and digital governance. She has also worked with organisations such as the United Nations, the ITU and the Council of Europe. She is a board member of the Digital Government Society (2020/2021) and IFIP WG 8.5 in ICT & Public Administration (2020-2023).
